Mindblowing experience creating main iconography sets, interface design and implementation (UE) for this AAA mmo

Contributed to the design and implementation of user interface elements for the large-scale MMO APB, developed in Unreal Engine. As part of a specialized UI team within a multi-year production cycle, I played a key role in defining the in-game visual language and iconography used across core systems.

Key Contributions:

  • Designed and produced large-scale, cohesive icon sets for upgrades, achievements, and player roles, ensuring visual consistency with the game’s established art direction

  • Developed UI mockups and design solutions for multiple screens and systems, balancing usability with the game’s stylized aesthetic

  • Collaborated closely with localization teams to ensure multilingual readiness across all UI components

  • Represented the company and project at Gamescom 2010 in Germany, supporting brand communication and early promotional efforts

Reflection:
Working on a long-running, technically ambitious MMO early in my career taught me the importance of system thinking in design, the power of visual consistency, and how to collaborate within large, interdisciplinary teams under high production pressure—skills I carry forward into every complex design initiative today.
